Navy Youth Hockey Association has partnered with the Washington Capitals to allow players and parents new to hockey to discover if the game is for them by helping offset some of the start-up costs by offering learn to play hockey lessons and an equipment package at a deeply discounted rate.
Each participant will become a member of Navy Youth Hockey Association, receive eight weeks of on-ice hockey instruction, as well as receive the following new equipment:
In addition to the equipment provided, we recommend that you purchase a mouth guard and athletic supporter.
The program provides FREE head-to-toe equipment for your child to keep as they continue exploring youth hockey. However, there is a $175.00 participation fee associated with the program which offsets ice and coaching expenses.
1) Visit the Washington Capitals site and register by clicking on the "Navy Fall" or "Navy Winter" links.
2) Come back to the Navy site and register for LTP in our system so we have your contact information. Be sure to register with the Learn To Play ONLY registration.
3) Shortly after you have registered you will be contacted so arrangements can be made for equipment sizing.
That's it, as simple as 1, 2, 3 and then your child hits the ice.
LTP equipment fitting dates all done at Medstar Capitals Iceplex on the following dates:
