2019-2020 NYH Girls Teams
Navy Youth Hockey Girls Program is designed to foster a fun and competitive environment for our young female athletes to learn and grow in the sport. Our focus is to build on-ice skills and grow a hockey “IQ” - all while fostering leadership skills that can be used on and off the ice. As part of our Ladder of Development, our girls program offers the unique opportunity for our female athletes to enjoy an all-girls experience starting at a young age through their high school years.
Navy is pleased to offer a U10 girls 'beginner' team this year. This is an introduction to team play for recent LTP/Mite graduates or skaters new to hockey. Focus will be on skating, skills development and building hockey fundamentals. Games will be limited to around 10 to 12 for the entire season.
U10 Girls is open to players from birth years '09-'10.
Navy 's U12 girls team is a great opportunity for girls who have played hockey for a few years and are looking for an all-girls experience or want something in addition to our traditional co-ed teams.
Our U12 program offers skills and team sessions in conjunction with our other girls teams in a fun and competitive environment. This team will prep your skater for advancing to the Elite team model.
U12 Girls is open to players from birth years '07-'10.
This is our inaugural year offering a U16 Girls Elite team for our serious-minded athletes. Navy’s U16 Girls Elite team will focus on skills, games and off-ice training all with our high level, experienced coaching staff.
With our Elite teams we are looking for an 'elite' commitment. This is intended for the student athlete who has high expectations of themselves and their teammates and is ready to take their game to the next level. Players can expect dedicated coaches and teammates who will put in the time and focus to help each player advance in their game and compete at their highest potential.
U16 Girls Elite is open to players from birth years '03-'06.
