Overview

Recreational hockey is typically known to have a lower level of competitiveness and a lower game count.  Any player considering participating on a recreational team should be made aware of the following:

  • For the younger age group there will be more focus on instructions and basic hockey skills
  • More practices than games for this group.
  • Non-League games will be scheduled for this group
  • A game count of 8 to 14 games can be expected
  • Two practices a week are expected with one of those practices being a skills night with other teams.

"White" Level Teams:

More focus on instructional and hockey skills
Understanding  basic game concepts
Depending on age and skill set, some teams will be entered into the CCHL.
